Sane Fourth
To the editor:
Oh, the Fourth of July! Too much noise! Too much litter! Where does one go for respite?
My husband and I wanted to escape our hometown in Nebraska, but where to go? Ah, we considered, if any place has a composite I.Q. high enough to encourage a sane Fourth it would be Lawrence, Kansas.
We were right. Our thanks to your intelligent citizenry and courageous City Commission.
