Court

Trial in shooting case is delayed

Trial was delayed until mid-September for a man accused of opening fire at a West Lawrence apartment complex in December.

Randy Johnson faces four counts of attempted second-degree murder in the shooting at the Boardwalk Apartment complex.

A judge on Wednesday pushed Johnson’s trial back to Sept. 19 while the defense works on obtaining expert witnesses.

Two people were injured in the shooting Dec. 21 in what tenants said was a dispute over a loud party.
