The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club’s June 22 game was directed by Virginia Seaver. Seven tables played a stratified game and a Mitchell movement. The North-South pairs were led by Julia Brooks and Phyllis Brownlee who placed first in A. Carol Ball and Chris Lane were second in A and Wanda Durbin and Suzanne Wassmer were third. Margrete Hartman and Doris Sindt were first in B and fourth in A, followed by Judy Bevan and John Gilbert.

Paul Heitzman and Dave Piro were first in A among the East-West pairs and Klee Zaricky and Betty Collier placed second. Grant Sutton and Ann Thompson were third in A and first in B. Catherine Blumenfeld and Lois Clark were second in B and fourth in A.

¢ The Wednesday Evening Bridge Club played Swiss Teams with four teams. Don Brennaman directed the June 22 game. Bob Huffman, Helen Huffman, Harry Talley and Don Daugherty won first place. Jolene Andersen, Ilse Steinhardt, Mike Lee and Don Brennaman were second.

¢ The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club’s June 24 game was directed by Don Brennaman. Nine tables played a Mitchell movement in the first of the club’s North American Open Pairs qualifier events. Deborah Fair and Linda Schottler, of Manhattan, won first in A and B among the North-South pairs. Klee Zaricky and Sally Taylor were second in A and B, followed by Virginia Seaver and Phyllis Brownlee who placed third in A and B. Gladys Rivard and Janice Hollowell, of Leavenworth, were first in C.

The East-West pairs were led by David Piro and Paul Heitzman who won first in A. Lynn Hui and Cathy Blumenfeld won first in B and C and second in A. Jerry Best and Fran Scully, of Manhattan, were second in B and third in A, and Shirlie Vaughn and Nita Scales were second in C, third in B and fourth in A.

¢ The Sunday Afternoon Bridge Club game was directed by Jerry Sloan. Eight pairs played a Howell movement. Julia Dalton and Janice Hollowell, of Leavenworth, were first in A and B. Jerry Sloan and Patt Radford were second in A and B. Jeff Nash and James Masilamani, of Topeka, were third in A and Vernon Gregg and Steven Phelps, also of Topeka, were third in B and fourth in A.

¢ The Monday Night Bridge Club played a stratified game with a Mitchell movement. Virginia Seaver directed the nine and a half tables of players. North-South pairs were led by Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough who were first in A and B. Klee Zaricky and Virginia Seaver were second in A and B. Shirley Reese and Chris Lane placed fourth in A and B. Carl and Jack Mibeck were first in C and fifth in A.

Terry Tolar and Lynn Hui led the East-West pairs at first in A and B. Sally Taylor and Shirlie Vaughn were second in A and B, and Harriet Olson and Emily Foster won third in A and B and first in C. Paul Heitzman and Donna Johnson were fourth in A and B. Mike and Cathy Blumenfeld were second in C.
