Clinton SP free days slated Feb. 26-27

One of Wildlife and Parks’ most popular promotions will undergo a change this year.

In the past, one weekend had been designated for free entry at all state parks. Now each state park has been allowed to set its own free entry dates.

Clinton State Park, near Lawrence, won’t charge entry fees Feb. 26-27 while Perry State Park has tapped Sept. 24-25 as its no-charge entry days.

Other free state park entry days in northeast Kansas are Pomona (May 7-8), Hillsdale (June 12 and Sept. 10), and Tuttle Creek (Aug. 20-21).

The state’s annual free fishing days will remain the same. June 4-5, anglers will not require a license at state impoundments.
