William Albert ‘Smokey’ Breshears, Lawrence

Services for William Albert "Smokey" Breshears, 80, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.

Mr. Breshears died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005.

He was born July 30, 1924, in Bentonville, Mo., the son of Andy Clarence and Florence Millie Tuck Breshears.

Mr. Breshears worked for Owens Corning in Kansas City, Kan., and retired after 20 years.

His wife, Helen Breshears, died earlier.

Survivors include a brother, Virgil, Raytown, Mo.; and a sister, Velma Smith, Kansas City, Mo.

The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Senior Center or ICAN Program, sent in care of the mortuary.
