Nancy Denman, Nevada, Mo.

? Services for Nancy Denman, 49, Lawrence, Kan., will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Nevada. Burial was in Newton Burial Park in Nevada.

Mrs. Denman died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nev.

She was born July 3, 1955, in Nevada, Mo., the daughter of James H. and Beverly Braun Denman. She grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1973. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1988 and her master’s degree in 1992. She received her doctorate in counseling psychology from Kansas University.

Mrs. Denman worked at Cottey College as director of counseling and as a mentor for Peer Listeners. She played women’s fast pitch softball for Adams Sales Company and Golf for Alvamar Ladies’ Golf League in Lawrence for four years.

Survivors include her mother, Nevada; a sister, Mary Ann Campbell, Colorado Springs; and two brothers, John T. Denman, Austin, Texas, and Bill Denman, Nevada.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
