Two sentenced for role in overdose death

Kansas City, Kan. — Two Kansas City, Kan., brothers have been sentenced to nearly four years in prison each for their role in forcing another man to drink a fatal dose of PCP last year.

Duronn Clark, 19, and Nolan Clark, 20, pleaded guilty in December to attempted voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault in the April 9, 2004, death of 37-year-old Bryant Davis, also of Kansas City, Kan.

The two Clarks and four other people initially were charged with first-degree murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

Prosecutors said the defendants kidnapped Davis after he told people that one of them had been involved in a woman’s death. They are accused of taking Davis to a drug house and making him drink the fatal concoction, then dumping him in a local park.
