? Perry-Lecompton High kept its momentum going after winning last week’s McLouth Invitational with a 57-42 boys basketball road victory Tuesday night at Oskaloosa.

The win, P-L’s fourth straight, evens out its record at 5-5. The Kaws were paced by senior Drew Tucker, who was on the all-tournament team in McLouth. Tucker scored 12 points, which came from his four three-pointers.

“They defended us really well and pressured us pretty hard,” Oskie coach Scott Whaley said. “Tucker hit some shots with a hand in his face. They also made free throws, and we didn’t.”

The Kaws went 10-for-14 from the charity stripe, while the Bears (4-7) were only 11-for-28.
