Junior high to present Anne Frank play

Southwest Junior High School will present the play “And Then They Came For Me; Remembering the World of Anne Frank,” written by Kansas University graduate James Still. It will be performed by ninth-graders at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the junior high, 2511 Inverness.

Written in 1995, “And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank” is an engrossing and emotional multimedia play.

Video testimonies of Holocaust survivors and childhood friends of Anne Frank, Eva Geiringer Schloss and Ed Silverberg are intercut with live action on stage to recreate experiences from their lives during World War II. It is the story of three families: the Franks, the Geiringers and the family of Anne Frank’s teenage boyfriend, Ed Silverberg, who was the last person to see Anne before she went into hiding.

Admission is $2.
