Edwina Hall Nolen, Eudora

? Services for Edwina Hall Nolen, 59, Eudora, will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 29, at Hesper Friends Church in Eudora.

Mrs. Nolen died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, in Eudora from a stroke.

She was born April 29, 1945, in Tellico Plains, Tenn., the daughter of Earl E. and Elsie Holliday Hall. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1965 and the University of Tennessee College of Nursing in 1968.

Mrs. Nolen was an emergency room nurse from 1968 to 2004 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital for 16 years and Olathe Medical Center for the past four years. She received the Kansas Governor Recognition for Selfless Service in April 2004.

She married Edward Nolen. He survives, in Palestine, Texas.

Other survivors include two sons, Darren E. Nolen, Lawrence, and Nathan F. Nolen, Philippines; a sister, Nancy Lee, Tellico Plains; three brothers, Charles Hall and Frank Holliday, both of Tellico Plains, and Bill Holliday, Knoxville, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Love a Child Inc. or Hospice Care in Douglas County, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence.
