Donald D. Fleenor, Shawnee

? Services for Donald D. Fleenor, 78, Overland Park, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Amos Family Chapel. Inurnment will follow in Silent City Cemetery in De Soto.

Mr. Fleenor died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005, at his home.

He was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Scott County, the son of William and Lillian Goertz Fleenor. He moved to the Kansas City area in 1975 and then to Colorado Springs.

Mr. Fleenor served in the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II and in the U.S. Army following the war. He drove for Safeway Stores in the Kansas City area until he retired in 1998.

He married Dorothy Endacott. She died in 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean Dreiling, Lawrence, and Elaine Moyer, Salina; two sons, Wayne and Lee, both of Hays; a stepson, James Chiga, Colorado Springs; a stepdaughter, Ann Chiga Wilson, Chicago; two sisters, Emily Galyon, Phoenix, and Alice Rinke, Wichita; a brother, Robert, McPherson; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Old Mission United Methodist Church, sent in care of the chapel, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee 66203.
