Elwood ? Seabury Academy’s boys basketball team will try to halt a seven-game losing streak when the Seahawks meet Wathena at 5:30 p.m. today in the consolation bracket of the Elwood Invitational.

Seabury fell to 1-8 on the season when host Elwood posted a 53-29 decision in a first-round tourney game Tuesday night. Matt Barber and Grayson Dillon led the Seahawks with eight points apiece. Seabury trailed 19-12 at halftime, but Elwood outscored the Lawrence private school, 34-17, in the second half.

Seabury’s girls, who bowed to Doniphan West 48-11 in a first-round game Tuesday, will meet Wathena’s junior varsity at 4 p.m. today in the consolation bracket.
