Dorothy Guinty Henderson, Overland Park

Mrs. Henderson died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005.

She lived in Shawnee before moving to Lawrence in 1990. She formerly lived in the Kansas City area and Ozawkie.

Mrs. Henderson was a homemaker and dedicated volunteer.

She married Arthur W. Guinty on Feb. 5, 1937. He died April 12, 1978. She married E. Burke Henderson on Aug. 8, 1988. He died Nov. 11, 1989.

Survivors include two sons, Gary K. Guinty and Richard M. Guinty, both of Topeka; a daughter, Joanne K. Altieri, Lawrence; two stepdaughters, Pam Adams and Lynda Thompson, both of Shawnee; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends after the service at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Funeral Home.
