Pepperdine-Patrick

Vicki Pepperdine and Sean Patrick, both of Lawrence, were married Sept. 5, 2004, in Lawrence with the Rev. Nancy Smith officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John and Mary Jo Pepperdine, Prairie Village. The groom is the son of Brian Patrick, Olathe, and Debbie Goodman, Overland Park.

Maid of honor was Sharon Pepperdine. Best man was Brian Bishop.

Bridesmaids were Hilary Nuffer and Angela Carroll. Groomsmen were Gabrial Patrick and James Boothe.

Flower girls were Raven Andersen Roland and Kayla Johnson. John Pepperdine Jr. was usher. Karla Patrick and Debbie Sue Fey provided and arranged the flowers.

A reception was given at Liberty Hall.

The bride is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School. She received a degree in early childhood education from Kansas University. She is director at TDC Learning Center in Topeka.

The groom is a graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School. He received a degree in English at KU. He is a server and manager at Zen Zero.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Thornton-Alexander

Christina Thornton, Lawrence, and David Alexander, Lenexa, were married Oct. 9, 2004, at First Christian Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Randy Beeman officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Shelly Thornton, Lawrence. The groom is the son of John and Jill Alexander, Lenexa.

Maid of honor was Amy Brown. Best man was Sean Leary. Bridesmaids were Michelle Miles, Raegann Berger and Lindsay Landis. Groomsmen were Eric Hirt, Matt Yeager and Justin Fiedler. Flower girl was Madison Urish. Ring bearer was Brady Fern, son of the groom. Andy Thornton and Lynn Alexander were candle lighters. Lynn Alexander was guest book attendant. Chelsie Grammer was program attendant. Ushers were Andy Thornton, Joe Miller and Toby Leach.

The bridal party led the guests in a wedding march from the church to the reception at Maceli’s.

The bride is a 1997 Lawrence High School graduate. She received a degree in sociology from Kansas University. She is a manager in retail sales at SuperTarget in Olathe.

The groom is a 1997 Shawnee Mission West graduate. He is a manager in logistic at SuperTarget in Olathe.

The couple reside in Overland Park.

Newell-Westphal

Karla Newell and Matt Westphal, both of Lawrence, were married Sept. 4, 2004, at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Rick Pratte officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ray Newell, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Hugo Westphal Jr., Syracuse, Neb., and Clara Westphal, Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Lynnette Miller. Best man was Steve Westphal. Bridesmaids were Heather Banta and Leslie Dummermuth. Groomsmen were Hugo Westphal III and Anthony Dummermuth. Ushers were Jason Jacobs, Matt Jacobs, Schuyler Westphal and Tristan Westphal.

A reception followed the ceremony at the church.

The bride is a Lawrence High School graduate. She attended Evangel College in Springfield, Mo. She is employed at KinderCare Learning Center.

The groom graduated from high school in Superior, Neb. He is a graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Neb. He is employed at Pearson Government Solutions.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Wilson-McCain

Tatum Jill Wilson and Travis Daniel McCain, both of Plano, Texas, were married Sept. 4, 2004, at Prestonwood Baptist Church Faith Chapel in Plano, with the Rev. David Shivers officiating.

The bride is the daughter of William and Linda Wilson, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Sandra McCain, Rusk, Texas, and the late Travis McCain.

Matron of honor was Tamara Tilford. Bridesmaids were Melanie Krumsick, Kim Ness, Tara Moore and Janice Weger. Junior bridesmaids were Elizabeth Wilson and Danielle Tilford. Flower girl was Cheyenne Tilford.

Best man was David Crysup. Groomsmen were Scott Ramey, Sherman Coker, Scott Bramer and Curtis Acheson. Ring bearer was Drew Acheson. Ushers were Tad Wilson, Todd Tilford, Scott Nance and Philip Ivy. Guest book and program attendant was Christine Reed. Vocalists were Cathy Crispino, Lewis Tilford and Charlene Tilford. Organist was Bill Hanson. Greeters were Ann Hedrick and Nancy Hedrick.

Tatum and Travis McCain

A reception was given at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Addison, Texas. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico.

The bride is a 1995 graduate of Lawrence High School and a 1999 graduate of Kansas State University. She received a master’s degree in physical therapy in 2001 from Kansas University Medical Center. She is a physical therapist at the Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Rusk High School and a 1999 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he also received a master’s degree in business administration in 2000. He is a manager with KPMG in Plano, Texas.

The couple reside in Plano, Texas.
