Erma Mae Sterrett

Mrs. Sterrett died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at Eudora Nursing Center.

She was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Soldier, the daughter of Charles and Iva Nichols Henry. She moved to Clay Center in 1940 and to Topeka in 1950. She moved to the Lawrence and Eudora area in 1960.

Mrs. Sterrett was a homemaker.

She married Vernon Leroy Sterrett on Aug. 20, 1940, in Clay Center. He died in June 1988.

Survivors include three daughters, Rose M. Criqui, Charlotte L. Albin and Leanna M. Ward, all of Lawrence; a son, Rex E. Sterrett, Lawrence; a brother, Marvin Henry, Topeka; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
