Mother to Mother of Douglas County board members Ruby McDavis and
Danita Long attend a tea at Centenary United Methodist Church.
Participants toured a nativity display and enjoyed treats at the
Dec. 5 event. There also was a program and visit from Santa.

Kansas University students, from left, Jessica Vega, Erin Hogan and
Nick Wright help raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club of
Lawrence at Dillons, 1015 W. 23rd St. The students are members of
Beta Alpha Psi, an honorary accounting fraternity. They worked Oct.
30 on Roundup Day, when club representatives ask Dillons customers
if they would like to round up the total of their purchases to
benefit the nonprofit organization.
