Lecta G. Decker

? Graveside services for Lecta G. Decker, 78, rural McLouth, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fowler Cemetery northeast of McLouth.

Mrs. Decker died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at her home.

She was born Jan. 29, 1926, in Ozawkie, the daughter of John Howard and Lily May Belle Myers Metzger. She graduated from Ozawkie High School in 1944.

Mrs. Decker was a homemaker. She also worked as a ticket sorter for Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka for three years. She was a member of McLouth United Methodist Church.

She married Alvin LeRoy Decker on Dec. 24, 1946, in Ozawkie. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Ronald Decker, Lansing; two daughters, Christine Wagner, Sycamore, Ohio, and Deborah K. Whiteside, Topeka; two brothers, Everett King Jr., South Carolina, and Alvin Ray King, Oskaloosa; four sisters, Oleta G. King and Linda Metzger, both of Valley Falls, Louise Illig, Topeka, and Darlene Boyette, Warsaw, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
