Phillip V. ‘Fee’ Thomas

? Services for Phillip V. “Fee” Thomas, 86, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Tonganoxie.

Mr. Thomas died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at his home.

He was born Jan. 17, 1919, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Phillip and Mary Doliner Thomas.

Mr. Thomas served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Fifth Ranger Battalion Assn. He received a battlefield commission and a bronze star for the D-Day Invasion. He retired from Steel Warehouse Manufacturing Co. in 1982. He was a member of Strawberry Hill Veterans of Foreign Wars in Kansas City, Kan., and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He married Veronica Sachen. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Phil E., Tonganoxie; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Thomas, Tonganoxie; a sister, Frances Stiglich, Kansas City, Kan.; and a grandson.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
