Film aims to help parents of teenagers
A film to help parents of teenagers will be shown Tuesday at the Lawrence Arts Center.
“Everything Parents Know Will Make a Difference” includes scenarios that parents of teens may face, local teen substance abuse facts and parenting tips.
The film aims to encourage parents to be involved in their teens’ lives.
Hors d’oeurves start at 5:30 p.m., and the film starts at 6:15 p.m. The public is invited.
The Safe Schools/Healthy Students program will mail the film to all parents of seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders in Lawrence public schools. Parents are encouraged to watch the film with their teenagers.
Safe Schools/Healthy Students produced the film, which is available on DVD and VHS.
