Eldon K. Deputy, Wichita

Wichita ? Services for Eldon K. Deputy, 96, Olathe, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Downing and Lahey Mortuary East in Wichita.

Mr. Deputy died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, in Overland Park.

He was born Nov. 25, 1908, in rural Riley County, the son of Orlando and Mary Belle Beard Roth.

Mr. Deputy served as an infantry captain in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Boeing Computer Services until he retired.

He married Marjorie Ella Mears on Oct. 24, 1942. She died earlier.

Survivors include a son, James, Lawrence; a daughter, Susan Wilson, Olathe; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
