The Lawrence Duplicate Bridge Club is meeting at a new location, the Kaw Valley Bridge Center in the I-70 Business Center, Suite 120. The weekly meeting times and directors of those meetings are: Monday, 6:45 p.m., Virginia Seaver; Wednesday, 12:30 p.m., Virginia Seaver or Chris Lane; Wednesday, 6:45 p.m., Don Brennamen; Friday, 12:30 p.m., Don Brennamen; and Sunday, 1 p.m., Jerry Sloan or Eldon Herd. The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club game Feb. 9 was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were led by Phyllis Brownlee and Sally Davis, who placed first in A and B, followed by Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd who placed second in A and B. Virginia Seaver and Madelyn Jenks placed third in A. Frances Vogel and Doris Stubeck came in first in C. The East-West winners were led by Paul Heitzman and David Piro in A. Betty Collier and Klee Zaricky were second in A and first in B. Mona Bell and Carol Ball were third in A, second in B and first in C. Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld placed fourth in A, third in B and second in C.

The Sunday Afternoon Bridge Club was stratified, used the Howell movement and was directed by Jerry Sloan. Mona Bell and Carol Ball placed first in A and B. Lois Jones and Jeffrey Nash tied for second place in A with Helen Huffman and Robert Huffman. The Huffmans were second in B. John Hickey and Patt Radford placed fourth in A, and Eldon Herd and Glenna Herd placed fifth.

The Monday Evening Bridge Club was stratified, used the Mitchell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. North-South winners were Russell LaForce and Betty Spalsbury, who placed first in A, B and C. Jerry Sloan and Phyllis Brownlee were second in A. Chris Lane and Klee Zaricky came in third in A and second in B. Peter Petillo and Bob Hemenway were fourth in A. The East-West winners were Virginia Seaver and Paul Heitzman who placed first in A, followed by Terry Tolar and Harry Shaffer who came in second in A. Lois Jones and Jeffrey Nash were third in A. Robert Huffman and Don Bush were first in B and C.

University Bridge Club announces the winners of its Feb. 12 game. Hosts were Al and Carol Smith. Blue winners were: Al Smith, first; Florence McNicoll, second; Virginia Williams, third; Paul Jordan, fourth; and Vera Hadl, fifth. Pink winners were: Bette Lukens, first; Lois Liebert, second; Alice Akin, third; Cathy Waller, fourth; and Gini Wigington, fifth.
