Blazers, Bobcats missing injured players

Charlotte, N.C. — Portland leading-scorer Zach Randolph missed Monday’s game at Charlotte because of recurring pain in his right knee that has plagued him since late December.

Also Monday, Bobcats starters Emeka Okafor and Brevin Knight were out. Okafor missed his second straight game after aggravating a left ankle sprain Friday in a loss to Miami. Knight sprained his right ankle Sunday against New York.

Wizards activate Ramos

Washington — The Wizards activated rookie center Peter John Ramos on Monday and placed forward Samaki Walker on the injured list because of a lower back strain. Ramos, a second round draft pick, was placed on the injured list Dec. 1 because of right shoulder tendinitis. Walker has played in six games, averaging 1.7 points and 1.3 rebounds.

Nene on injured list

Denver — The Nuggets placed center Nene on the injured list Monday because of a sprained left knee. Nene was hurt Sunday against New Jersey while going for a rebound.
