Two meets await KU

Kansas University’s track teams will travel to two meets this weekend.

The Jayhawks will be in Fayetteville, Ark., for the John McDonnell-Tyson Invitational and in Ames, Iowa, for the ISU Classic.

Freshman Ekaterina Sultanova and senior Amy Linnen will compete in the pole vault tonight at the Golden Spike Invitational in Fayetteville.

More than 30 teams are expected for the two-day ISU Classic that will begin this afternoon.

“We need our athletes to continue and get better as we prepare for the Big 12 and NCAA championships,” KU coach Stanley Redwine said. “With the split meets we will give our athletes the best opportunity to compete for their best times.”
