Eudora splits at Prairie View

? The streak is dead.

Eudora High’s boys basketball team snapped a nine-game losing skid with authority Monday night in a 69-34 rout of Prairie View.

“If I knew what we did, it would have happened a hell of a lot sooner,” EHS coach Scott Stein said with a laugh. “No, basically what happened was, we executed our offense, made good decisions. Defensively, they didn’t shoot the ball very well.

“It was just a deal where we played good defense, and they had to take some chances to get back in the game.”

Luke Abel led the Cardinals (3-11) with 14 points. Brendan Jackson added 11, and Mark Abel and Rodney Spillman each contributed nine.

Eudora will play host to Wellsville tonight.

“Unfortunately,” Stein said, “we won’t get to enjoy this very long.”
