India Family and Community Education unit will meet at 1:15 p.m. Thursday. Hostess is Bonnie Bond. Co-hostess is Darlene Bright. Regina Shaver will give the lesson on asthma.

Kanwaka Family and Community Education unit will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Reba Bennett. Co-hostess is Alice Wren. Myrna Hartford will give the lesson on basics of stenciling.

Douglas County Family and Community Education in cooperation with K-State Research & Extension Family and Consumer Sciences is offering a program “ACWW Paupa, New Guinea” at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Deal Six Auditorium at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St.

The program will be given by the Rev. Gary Teske, who has been in Paupa as a missionary for at least 10 years. He will talk about the country and people, especially the role of the women. Information will be provided on the history of Associated Country Women of the World.

To register, call the Extension Office at 843-7058. The program is open to the public.

Stull Busy Beavers 4-H Club met Dec. 13. The meeting was called to order by Josh Lesser, president. Members brought canned and boxed items to be donated to the food pantry at Lecompton United Methodist. The club voted to meet at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community to sing Christmas carols and share musical talents on Dec. 20. The club voted to have a club chorus for County Club Day in February, and Kim Stewart volunteered to help with the music. Members brought a favorite holiday snack to share. The club met Jan. 23 at the Stull United Methodist Church for leader training. Members practiced for County Club Day, watched a movie and had snacks.
