Richard Dennis Thomas, Tonganoxie

? Services for Richard Dennis Thomas, 58, Tonganoxie, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tonganoxie Christian Church. Burial will follow in Hubble Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.

Mr. Thomas died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

He was born Jan. 24, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Junior Dennis and Mary Louise White Thomas.

Mr. Thomas was co-owner, founder and director of KCI Inc. in Kansas City, Mo. He was a former member of Millwright Union Local 1529. He was a former field superintendent at Midwest Conveyor and Automatic Systems, awarded top 100 fastest-growing companies of Kansas City in 1997, and was nominated and a finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneurs of the Year in 1998.

He married Yolanda Norman on June 2, 1969, in Nowata, Okla. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include his mother, Tonganoxie; a son, Bryan, Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Nichole Salmon and Tana Thomas, both of Tonganoxie; a brother, Dub Helms, Fort Smith, Ark.; a sister, Susan Walbridge, Tonganoxie; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie.
