Two prison inmates captured after escape

Two inmates who escaped from Lansing Correctional Facility were caught early Sunday.

The minimum-security prisoners were arrested without resistance in Osawatomie at 2:20 a.m., about five hours after they were confirmed missing.

Prison officials said Jacob M. Hinton and Timothy L. Page are to be charged with aggravated escape from custody, but it was unclear whether they could face any additional charges.

Hinton was serving a 24-month sentence for a drug conviction and was scheduled for release in February. Page was serving a 29-month sentence for burglary and was to be released in April.
