Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence Police arrested a 25-year-old Lawrence man early Wednesday morning on suspicion of threatening his girlfriend with two swords in the 700 block of Vermont Street.

According to a police report, the 24-year-old victim, a Lawrence resident, was driving about 1:30 a.m. when her car overheated and stalled. As she was stopped on the side of the road, the man approached her and waved the swords at her, according to a report. Police said they believed the man was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.
