Attention, growing companies in Lawrence: Officials at City Hall and the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce are looking for you.

They want to say thanks.

The city and chamber are taking applications for a new program, called Foundation Awards.

Companies are eligible for a Foundation Award if they meet two requirements:

¢ Work in manufacturing, distribution, technology or service industries in town.

¢ Have, within the last year, had either a 10 percent increase in their total number of employees, or have added at least 50 employees during the past year.

Winners will be recognized monthly by Lawrence city commissioners. Officials will present awards at City Hall during commission meetings on the second Tuesday of each month, beginning Oct. 11.
