Eudora An animal or a tree limb making contact with a power line was the likely cause for a power outage Monday night in Eudora.
When the unknown object made contact with a power line, it caused a surge of power through Eudora's electrical system.
"That's what we suspect happened," Eudora City Manager Cheryl Beatty said. The entire city was impacted, meaning 5,000 to 6,000 residents were without electricity, she said.
Beatty said most people had electricity by 10 p.m. Power was completely restored by midnight on Tuesday.
