FSHS girls fourth at Woodman track

? Alysha Valencia won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter races, helping Free State High’s girls track and field squad to a fourth-place finish Saturday at the 20-team K.T. Woodman Classic.

The Firebirds’ 3,200 relay squad of Allison Yoder, Robyn Lee, Kaitlin Squier and Valencia placed second, and Emma Brooke was third in the high jump after a leap of 5 feet, 2 inches.

The Firebird boys were fifth of 21 teams. Spencer Martin placed third in the 1,600, and Free State’s team of Martin, Alex Rock, Aaron Trent and Danny Schneider placed second in the 3,200 relay.

Free State will participate next weekend in the Kansas Relays.
