David Gene Quesenbury Sr.

Services for David Gene Quesenbury Sr., 51, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lawrence Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Quesenbury died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, in a three-vehicle accident in Edwardsville.

He was born Dec. 10, 1952, in Morris, Okla., the son of Elton Gene and Violet May “Jackie” Wilson Quesenbury. He graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1971 and received a degree in diesel mechanics from Oklahoma State Technical School in 1973. He moved from Okmulgee, Okla., and lived in Lawrence for 18 years.

Mr. Quesenbury worked as a diesel mechanic for many years. He worked for R.V. Vickers Trucking Co. in Kansas City, Kan., and formerly worked for Allied Oil Co. in Kansas City, Kan.

He married Judy Kay Bickford on Feb. 3, 1989, in Lawrence. They divorced.

Survivors include his mother, Beggs, Okla.; a son, David Gene Jr., Lawrence; a daughter, Chelsea Quesenbury, Lawrence; three brothers, John, Okmulgee, Phillip, Keller, Texas, and Mark, Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sisters, Nancy Ann Miller, Dennison, Texas, and Mary Russell, Sand Springs, Okla.; and a grandson.

The family suggests memorials to the Chelsea Quesenbury Education Fund, sent in care of the funeral chapel.
