Weekend highlights include Indian art

There is no shortage of arts and crafts festivals this weekend in Lawrence. The Haskell Indian Art Market will bring some 170 American Indian artists to the campus of Haskell Indian Nations University for a sale today and Sunday. Native dancers will entertain patrons as they browse.

Additionally, the Kaw Valley Quilters Guild will show stitched works today and Sunday at the Community Building, while vendors from the region hawk their wares at the 25th annual Fall Arts and Crafts Festival on Sunday in South Park.
