Kenneth A. Wilcox

Services for Kenneth A. Wilcox, 91, Eudora, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Wilcox died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at Eudora Nursing Center.

He was born Feb. 25, 1913, in Pleasant Hope, Mo., the son of A.J. and Cora E. Cowden Wilcox. He lived in Lawrence most of his life.

Mr. Wilcox was a foreman at the Co-op fertilizer plant from 1952 until he retired in 1975. He was an honorary member of the Kirby C. Wilcox American Legion Post No. 676 in Springfield, Mo. He was also a member of Indian Hills Church of God.

He married Josephine M. Stewart on Nov. 22, 1936, in Branson, Mo. She died earlier.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Albertson, Ozawkie, and Becky Wilcox, Lawrence; two sons, Howard, Mammoth Springs, Ark., and Jerry L., Hutchinson; a brother, Charles H., Springfield; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County or Eudora Nursing Center, sent in care of the mortuary.
