KU basketball coach Bill Self will hit the road today to begin in-home visits with recruits. The current recruiting contact period lasts until Oct. 5. He’s expected to visit Julian Wright, 6-foot-8, Chicago, today; C.J. Miles, 6-5, Dallas, Monday; Kevin Rogers, 6-8, Dallas Tuesday. He’ll also visit Brandon Costner, 6-9, East Orange, N.J., on a date to be determined. Miles will visit Georgia Tech this weekend and Texas in early October.

Bryan Harvey, a 6-5 prep senior from Compton, Calif., will visit KU on Oct. 15. He’s considering Kansas, Louisville, UConn and Arizona State. Rivals.com indicates Dale Vanwright, 6-6 junior from Houston, will make an unofficial visit to KU on Oct. 15.
