Kaws rally past Immaculata, 28-12

? It didn’t take long for Perry-Lecompton High to equal its football victory total from a year ago.

After a 1-8 campaign in 2003, Perry-Lecompton opened its 2004 season with a big 28-12 victory Friday over Leavenworth Immaculata.

Immaculata took the lead in the first quarter on a Danny McEvoy touchdown run, but the Kaws responded with four straight touchdowns.

“We felt a little tentative early, but we got ourselves going,” Perry-Lecompton coach Mike Paramore said. “We didn’t put any pressure on ourselves. It was good just to evaluate where we are.”
