Bollinger rallies Jets past Eagles, 28-27

? The New York Jets rallied from a 27-7 deficit, scoring three touchdowns in the last 5:14 Friday night to beat the Philadelphia Eagles, 28-27.

Brooks Bollinger’s 1-yard pass to Matt Dominguez with 8 seconds remaining capped the comeback, which came against Philadelphia’s second and third-stringers. Bollinger, making a case to remain Chad Pennington’s backup, was 11-for-20 for 168 yards.

Redskins 27, Falcons 0

Landover, Md. — Mark Brunell, who won the regular season starting job over Patrick Ramsey, went 4-for-6 for 51 yards on a 78-yard opening drive and was done for the night. Michael Vick committed two turnovers in five snaps over his three series.

Bengals 16, Colts 13

Cincinnati — Carson Palmer completed 10 of 14 passes for 106 yards, leading Cincinnati. Palmer threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to fullback James Lynch. For the preseason, Palmer completed 55 percent of his throws with four touchdowns, two interceptions and a respectable passer rating of 88.5.

Dolphins 20, Saints 19

New Orleans — Jay Fiedler threw for one touchdown, Sage Rosenfels threw for another, and Miami got a victory in a game they did not want to play. With Hurricane Frances headed toward Florida, the Miami players asked the NFL to cancel the game, but the league refused.

Browns 24, Bears 10

Cleveland — Jeff Garcia overcame several penalties and a few drops to throw his first touchdown pass of the year, helping Cleveland.

Titans 27, Packers 7

Nashville, Tenn. — Titans cornerback Samari Rolle tipped a pass to linebacker Keith Bulluck, who returned the interception 70 yards for a touchdown, and then picked off a Brett Favre pass to help Tennessee beat Green Bay.
