Scary Story Contest: Ryan Wolfe

While baby-sitting the new neighbors’ children for the first time, Katie answered the phone and she heard a deep voice say, “I know where you are Katie and I’m coming for you.”

She asked, “Who is this?” The voice didn’t answer. She dropped the phone, picked up the children and ran in the closet. While they were in the closet, she heard someone banging at the door. She told the children, that I will be right back. She turned the door knob and opened the closet. She walked down the long hallway until she finally reached the living room. The banging at the door was still continuing. Katie walked to the window to see who was at the door. She looked and saw a tall man that had bumps around his eyes, nose and mouth. Finally the man stopped banging on the door and turn to see Katie standing at the window. The man came running to the window. He used his fist to shatter the window. Katie screamed and ran as fast as she could to the closet. She shut the closet door, just as the man reached the closet. She locked the door and said, “Is everyone OK?” Nobody answered. Katie said, “Oh no, where did the children go?” Katie looked under the closet door to see if the coast was clear. She didn’t see anything, so she decided to look for the kids. She opened the door very slowly. She got to her feet and searched the house. She heard a noise coming from the bedroom upstairs. She walked as quiet as a mouse to the living room and up the stairs. When she reached the top of the stairs, the noise was getting louder. She finally traced the sound to a bedroom at the end of the hallway. She opened the door and saw the kids tied to a wooden chair. She ran over to the kids to help them get the knot out. After she got the kids free, they ran to get out of the bedroom. Just then, the man with the creepy face blocked their path.

He said, “No one is leaving this house.”

“You won’t get away with this,” Katie said.

Then Katie ran straight into the man, which knocked him down. She told the kids to run downstairs and call 911. The children obeyed her and ran downstairs. Katie was still trying to hold the man down on the floor. The man kicked Katie in her gut and she fell to the ground. She tried to get back up, but she couldn’t. The man got to his feet and pulled out a knife. He was just about to stab him when someone shouted, “Drop the knife.” Katie turned and saw the police and the two children. Katie thanked the lord that she was still alive, as the police arrested the man. The two kids ran over to Katie and asked, “Are you OK?” She said, “I’m just fine.” The next day, Katie woke up and found herself at home in her bed. She got up, dressed herself, and went to the neighbor’s house. She knocked on the door and Mrs. Hawk opened the door. Mrs. Hawk said, “Thank you for saving my children.”

“You are very welcome, Mrs. Hawk,” said Katie.
