Law enforcement report

  • A 44-year-old Perry man told police another man threatened him with a golf putter in a dispute Saturday morning in the 200 block of Woodgate Place.

The man told police he had come to pick up his daughter from his ex-wife’s home when his ex-wife’s husband approached him with the golf club. They had a verbal altercation, but no one was injured and police didn’t make any arrests.

Burglaries and thefts reported

  • An 18-year-old Kansas University student’s speakers, amplifier, Xbox video game system and compact discs were stolen early this month from the 1600 block of Alabama Street. The theft happened Oct. 3 or Oct. 4, but the report wasn’t released until Monday.
  • Someone stole a Kansas University student’s $2,800 Dell Inspiron laptop computer between Oct. 13 and Oct. 15 from a residence in the 1600 block of Louisiana Street.
  • Someone stole more than $2,500 in tools from a truck belonging to a 44-year-old man. The theft happened between 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Oct. 19 in the 400 block of Whitfield Street in Lecompton.
  • A 41-year-old Eudora man reported $1,140 in property, including a .22-caliber rifle and two televisions, stolen between 7:30 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. Wednesday from the 1000 section of East 2100 Road in Eudora.
