McLouth fails to score at Troy
TROY ? McLouth fell in its final road contest before a three-game homestand, 14-0, to Troy on Friday.
The Bulldogs were held in check offensively, and standout tailback Kevin Stewart was limited to just 83 yards on 25 carries.
For Troy, Nolan Franken’s 72-yard touchdown run in the first quarter was more than enough for the victory. His second touchdown run, the game’s only other score, came with just :29 remaining.
“I thought Troy’s defense played exceptionally well,” McLouth coach Harry Hester said. “They were aggressive and fast. We compounded it with some penalties and mental mistakes.”
McLouth (4-2) will play three straight district games at home, beginning Friday against Leavenworth Immaculata.
