Tonight’s KU homecoming events moved indoors

Thursday night’s Kansas University homecoming block party and pep rally has been forced indoors because of rain.

The party now will begin at 6 p.m. in the Student Recreation Fitness Center, near 17th and Maine streets. It previously was to be held in South Park.

Events scheduled include finals of the “Jayhawk Idol” singing competition and an appearance by coach Mark Mangino and several Jayhawk football players.

Free parking will be available in the lots surrounding the recreation center.

KU plays Kansas State University at 6:20 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
