Carole E. Roberts

— Services for Carole E. Roberts, Topeka, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel in Topeka. Private inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born in Litchfield, Minn., the daughter of Lars and Hedvig Jackson Almgren. She graduated from Litchfield High School and has lived in Topeka since 1947.

Mrs. Roberts was a traveling cosmetic sales representative for Richard Hudnut of New York. She became a real estate agent in 1970 and continued until she retired in 2001. She was a member of Seabrook Congregational United Church of Christ and volunteered on the Shawnee County Election Commission.

She married David G. Roberts on March 4, 1947. He died Feb. 13, 1970.

Survivors include a son, George A. Roberts, Lawrence; and two sisters, Mary Ann Nesseth, Livonia, Mich., and Betty Lou Peterson, Albuquerque, N.M.

The family suggests memorials to Midland Hospice House, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka 66606.
