The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Bible Baptist School in Bonner Springs. He is employed by Paul Vielhauer Plumbing Inc. in Shawnee.

They are members of Lawrence Life Fellowship Church.

The couple plan a July 30, 2005, wedding at Abe and Jake’s Landing in Lawrence.

Kems-Waters

Brooke Kems and Daniel Waters, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Virginia Kems, Lawrence, and Danny Kems, Iowa. She is a graduate of Ottawa High School. She is pursuing a degree at MidAmerica University in Olathe. She is employed at DaimlerChrysler Financial in Kansas City, Kan.

Daniel Waters and Brooke Kems

The future groom is the son of Buck Waters, Leavenworth, and the late Sally Waters. He graduated from Lansing High School and DeVry University, Kansas City, Mo. He is employed at AeroComm Productions in Lenexa.

The couple plan a Dec. 18 wedding at Morning Star Church in Lawrence.

Joler-Rhoads

Jeff and Shana Joler, Lawrence, and Mark and Mary Rhoads, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Erin Joler, Topeka, and Nathan Rhoads, Portales, N.M.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Free State High School and a 2003 graduate of Kansas University. She is a mental health specialist at Family Service and Guidance Center.

The future groom is a 1999 graduate of Flour Bluff High School, Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated in 2003 from KU. He is an Air Force maintenance officer at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. He also is pursuing a master’s degree at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

The couple plan an April 2005 wedding in Lawrence.

Wendell and Carol Mohling, Vienna, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Maria Mohling, Lawrence, to Jeff Snyder, Lansing, son of Gary and Debra Snyder, Lansing.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of James Madison High School, Vienna, Va. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in sports management and a Master of Science degree in sports administration from Kansas University. She is the head boys coach at the Lawrence Gymnastics Academy.

The future groom is a graduate of Lansing High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science and a Master of Science degree in sports administration from KU.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bill and Carolyn Pinamonti, Pittsburg. She is a Pittsburg High School graduate. She graduated from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from Kansas University with a Master of Science degree. She works at KU.

The future groom is the son of John and Pat Kress, Iola. He is a graduate of Iola High School. He graduated from KU with a Bachelor of Science degree and is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration. He is employed with Target Corp.

The couple plan a Nov. 27 wedding at the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg.

Patterson-Hindman

James and Clara Patterson, Omaha, Neb., and Robert and Roena Hindman, Bartlesville, Okla., announce the engagement of their children, Michelle Renae Patterson and Peter Andrew Hindman, both of Lawrence.

The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of Roncalli Catholic High School, Omaha Neb. She received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Kansas University in May 2003. She participated in a study abroad program at the Language Institute of Cordoba in Spain. She is a bilingual customer service representative for immigration at Tessada in Lawrence.

The future groom is a 1998 graduate of Bartlesville High School, Bartlesville Okla. He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 2002 from KU, where he also earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering in 2004. He is a design engineer at Relm Wireless in Lawrence.

The couple plan a Nov. 12 wedding at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence.
