Dennis “D.J.” Hilding, Lawrence, was honored May 10 during the KU-Jayhawk Senior and Scholar Athlete Banquet. He received the Jayhawk Scholar Award for his achievement on the Academic All-Big 12 first team and for making the athletic director’s honor roll in men’s cross country, track and field.

Hilding, a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School, is majoring in sports management and administration. He is the son of Jerel and Krystyna Hilding, Lawrence.

Julius Tyron Fulton, Lawrence, received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Elmhurst College, Elmhurst, Ill., during a commencement ceremony on Feb. 8.
