Class: Sophomore and freshman

Sport: Swimming

The week: Robinson and Swank each took four trips to the first-place step of the podium Saturday at the Sunflower League championships, leading the Firebirds to a third-place finish at the Lawrence Indoor Aquatic Center. Robinson won the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle; Swank won the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. In addition, both had a hand in the 400 free relay team that took first, and the 200 free relay team that set a Sunflower League record with a time of 1:41.56.

Class: Senior

Sport: Track and Field

The week: Miles had quite a day at the Redbud Classic on Friday in Wellsville. As the team’s top sprinter, Miles ran a record-breaking 100-yard dash in 12.36 seconds, shattering a 26-year old school record. She then took first in the 200-yard dash in 25.8 seconds, and anchored the 4×100 relay team that blazed to victory. With Miles leading the way, Baldwin won the meet with 132 points, twice as many as second-place Eudora.
