Lionel J. ‘Laddie’ Hanratty
West St. Paul, Minn. ? Services for Lionel J. “Laddie” Hanratty, 94, Lawrence, Kan., will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Salem Lutheran Church in West St. Paul. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
Mr. Hanratty died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 26, 1910, in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Canada, the son of Sylvenus and Mae (Gavin) Hanratty.
Mr. Hanratty worked in equipment maintenance for Armour and Company in South St. Paul. He retired in 1973 and moved to Lawrence a little more than five years ago.
He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in West St. Paul and was associated with the Trinity Lutheran Church while in Lawrence.
He married Agnes Marie Pederson on Aug. 15, 1936, in Glenwood. She died July 6, 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Andrea M. Parson, Lawrence; a son, Thomas J. Hanratty, Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the West Funeral Home in West St. Paul.
The family suggests memorials to Salem Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor’s choice, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
