County residents finish law enforcement course

Four Douglas County men were among the 66 February graduates at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center near Hutchinson.

Graduates include Gary Gazzarari and Adam Hoover, of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, and Brian Welsh and Jason White, of the KU Public Safety Office.

The law enforcement officials completed a 14-week basic training program at the center, which is operated by KU.

About 450 officers go through the training each year.
