Richard Don Thomas

Wellsville ? Memorial services for Richard Don Thomas, 71, Mound City, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson’s Funeral Home in Wellsville. He was cremated and will be buried in Wellsville Cemetery.

Mr. Thomas died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at Olathe Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 10, 1932, in Hollister, Calif., the son of Nathan and Bonnie Blunt Thomas. He was later adopted by Clarence and Doris Coffman of Wellsville. He attended Wellsville schools through his junior year in high school and graduated from St. Joseph College and Military Academy in May 1950.

He married Lois Ruth Revey on June 1, 1952. She died in February 2003.

A great-grandson also died earlier.

Survivors include three sons, Robert W., Donathan R., both of Wellsville, and Gerald L., Girard; three daughters, Clarice A. Johnson and Charlee J. Juett, both of Wellsville, and Cheryl M. Troyer, Burlington; a sister, Mona Benham, Lafayette, Colo.; a brother, Merle, Middletown, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
