Nadine Henak

Memorial services for Nadine Henak, 88, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Quisenberry Chapel in Tonganoxie. Private inurnment will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.

Mrs. Henak died Monday, May 3, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Bonner Springs, the daughter of William and Lula Hoffhines Lamb. She graduated from Linwood High School in 1934.

Mrs. Henak worked for Stokely-VanKamp Co. in Lawrence and managed the Tonganoxie Swimming Pool from 1953 to 1962. She was a member of Tonganoxie United Methodist Church. She lived at Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community at the time of her death.

She married Charles W. Henak on April 22, 1936, in Reno. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Ronald Henak, McLouth; a daughter, Carol Jacobs, Tonganoxie; a sister, Margaret Archer, Martinez, Calif.; four grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandson.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
