House roll call on proposed gay marriage amendment

? The 79-45 vote Tuesday by which the House failed to approve a proposed constitutional amendment banning gay marriage by the necessary two-thirds majority. The measure needed 84 votes.

Of the 80 Republicans, 60 voted “yes,” 19 voted “no,” and one did not vote.

Of the 45 Democrats, 19 voted “yes,” and 26 voted “no.”
